Tools of Change for Publishing

For six years running, the Tools of Change for Publishing conference in New York has been the premiere event for professionals and companies looking to explore and shape the future of publishing. The sell-out event brings together innovative people, companies and organisations to discuss compelling new business models and the strategic objectives of an ever-changing industry.

In 2009, the Frankfurt Book Fair and O’Reilly Media teamed up to bring Tools of Change to Europe for the first time in the run-up to the Frankfurt Book Fair. Last year’s event drew about 500 attendees from over 35 countries and featured over 30 high-quality keynotes and panel discussions.

The Frankfurt Book Fair

The Frankfurt Book Fair is the biggest book fair in the world – with more than 7,500 exhibitors from over 110 countries. It also organises the participation of German publishers at around 20 international book fairs. It maintains the most visited website worldwide for the publishing industry at www.book-fair.com and its directory of decision-makers in the book and media industries features around 31,000 contacts. Frankfurt SPARKS, the Frankfurt Book Fair’s digital initiative, unites the industry’s digital products and projects under one roof, with the aim of bringing together content and technology. The Frankfurt Book Fair is a subsidiary of the German Publishers & Booksellers Association.
