With the largest population of netizen and mobile phone users in the world, China is moving fast on digital publishing. Online publishing and distribution, e-readers, micro-payment — in addition to these common issues faced by the whole world, digital publishing in China is taking different shape given the special publishing environment and the unique social features. The panel will present the complete chain of digital publishing in China. It will be an eye-opener to those who are constantly exploring new business models for digital publishing.

The Speakers

Cheng Han is co-founder and CEO of Dynomedia, Inc., which is aiming to be China’s leading e-book distributor to serve a market of more than 40 million college students, researchers and professionals. By forging partnerships with top publishers from China and overseas, Dynomedia has set its content focus on subjects like STM, finance, management and foreign language.






Lei Ren was born in Shanghai and studied at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, where she obtained a master’s degree in communication science, economics and psychology. Since 2008, she has been Account Manager in the International Department at the Frankfurt Book Fair, responsible for East Asia. She organises eGerman Collective Stands at the Book Fairs in Beijing, Taipei, Seoul and Tokyo each year.



Zhou Hongli is the Chief Copyright Officer (CCO) of Shanda Literature Limited (SDL). His previous titles have included: Director General of Foreign Affairs Office of National Press and Publication Administration (today’s GAPP); President of China National Publishing Industry Trading Corporation (today’s CNPIEC); and Vice President of China Publishing Group Corporation.
